ABOUT BLAZE
BLAZE Youth Ministry is a youth ministry for youth in grades 6-12 in Dauphin County, PA, & beyond!
Located at Hanoverdale Church in Hummelstown, PA, we believe as Christians that we need to be transformed into the likeness and image of God.
In doing so we aim to reflect Christ in our lives and point others to Him.
OUR PURPOUSE
The purpose of BLAZE is to increase our love for God, and love for EVERYONE, by teaching and baptizing students of Christ.
OUR MISSION
The mission of BLAZE is to take the youth both deep & wide. We want to dig deep into God’s Word and then go wide — taking what we have learned in God’s Word and reach those who may not have accepted Christ as their personal Savior.
We want to actively disciple our youth so that they may better know Jesus Christ & then go out & make more disciples for Him.
Our purpose & mission are based on two key scriptures: the Great Commission (Matthew 28) & the Great Commandment (Matthew 22) because it brings both direction and focus to our ministry.
MEETING TIMES
On Sunday mornings:
BLAZE gathers in the Youth Room at 10:20 AM to be challenged to grow in their relationship with Christ through Bible teaching on a youth level, and discuss questions that relate to the subject.
On Wednesday nights:
RETURNING SEPTEMBER 14TH
BLAZE gathers in the Youth Room from 6:30-8 PM every Wednesday (September- May), with some exceptions, for a time to connect and talk with their friends and adult staff.
Based off of what BLAZE is about this coming year we will have lessons to get youth thinking about their daily lives and what the Bible, God & the adult staff have to say about life, we want to empower youth to own what we do rather than just participate.
