Matt is originally from New Jersey, but moved to PA to pursue youth ministry & his Master of Divinity. Born in 1982 he grew up in Paulsboro, NJ. At the age of 17, he trusted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Following high school, Matt pursued a life in radio. But sensing God’s call to enter full-time ministry, he attended Messiah College, receiving a BA in Communication. Then, Evangelical Theological Seminary, receiving a Masters of Divinity. He began pastoral ministry in 2004 as Youth Pastor at First UMC in Ephrata, PA, where some have called him “the greatest youth pastor ever” (and some have not). He currently lives in Palmyra with his wife, Jess, daughter, Callie & son, Everett. He is an admitted media addict with a large iTunes library, larger movie-watching history and small book collection. He also loves getting outdoors, away in his woodshop, playing a game of ultimate Frisbee, or just hanging out with his family.
Rachel is a Harrisburg native, born in 1994, and has attended Hanoverdale Church her whole life. She accepted Christ at a young age, but has been growing and learning more about him throughout her life. She graduated from Messiah College where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English and Secondary Education. Along with her amazing command of the English Language, Rachel also utilizes the subtle language of sarcasm quite fluently, and can be characterized by her dry sense of humor and love of puns. In her free time, Rachel loves singing, acting, baking, reading great books (preferably the classics), and (as one may notice by looking at her office), the color pink. When she's not doing any of the aforementioned activities, Rachel also enjoys watching cooking shows, old BBC series, and listening to pretty much any genre of music (minus country). She currently lives in Harrisburg with her family, rabbit (Sheldon), and goldfish (Skrillex).
