There are many in need right now. Many could use a helping hand. The Bible says to be careful not to look for praise from others when you give to the needy, for the kudos you receive from your friends will be all you get. But when you worship God by blessing others, God will reward you greatly in heaven.
Who is one person that you just do not like? One person who has been a thorn in your side? Today, do something that will bless them. Don’t tell them you are blessing them because you despise them. Just do something that will encourage them, that God might use to draw them closer to Himself. That is how a Christ follower is supposed to act.
Getting back at someone who has wronged you may seem satisfying, but is never the response of a Christ follower. Love your enemy. Impossible. Perhaps, but not if you involve God in the process. In fact, after Jesus said “Love your enemies”, He immediately said that we should pray for them. It becomes impossible to continue to hate those for whom we are praying.
