Choose Your Kingdom Week 14: Monday Recap

It is impossible to be perfect.  We are all people who fail at some time.  The Bible says that if we want to get into heaven by being good, we have to be perfect, because Heaven and God are perfect. To fail just one time means we have failed and will fall short of the entrance into heaven.

But then there is God…

Because Jesus died on the cross in our place, paying the price owed for our sin, Romans 8:1 says we will not stand before God condemned, if we accept Christ as our Savior. 

Christ sets us free from the condemnation of our sin and failure. Instead of spiritual separation from God awaiting us, we will one day be ushered into heaven.

That is Good News in a day where bad news is everywhere.

Choose Your Kingdom Week 13: End of Week Encouragement

Matthew 5:16 says that we are to, "...let [our] light shine before others [without a relationship with God] that they may see [our] good deeds and glorify [our] Father in heaven.” Today, enthusiastically go out of your way to help someone in need. Not sure what to do? Ask yourself: “If Christ was willing to die for me, what can I do for someone who needs the Lord?" Shine the brilliant light of God’s love on someone who is struggling.

Choose Your Kingdom Week 13: Midweek Miracle

The zeal of God raised our dead Savior Jesus back to life. That same power over death is our hope for eternal life as well. Romans 8:11 says that the Holy Spirit who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Praise God today for His resurrection power over your death and promise of eternal life in heaven.
