Missionary statesman T J Bach once said, “Your safety does not depend upon the absence of danger but is found in the presence of God’s perfect will.” God is our safe place to go and find refuge when the dangers of this world come crashing in. No enemy attacks can assail you. God is there to watch and be our immediate, purposeful and soothing Comforter in times of attack.
Would God call you a child of His based on the way you act towards those with whom you have a disagreement? Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. It is about time, don't you think, that you buried the hatchet and acted as Christ would to your enemy.
Colossians 1:20 says that Christ was a peacemaker when He shed His blood on the cross. In so doing, He made peace with sinners. Not that you have to shed blood, but are you willing to make a personal sacrifice in order to make peace with someone today?
