Hebrews 2:1-15

Why do people drift away from God sometimes? Why is it important to not fall away from God and the Church? How does God care for us so that those who are searching for truth are not easily lost before true salvation occurs? What is the ultimate fear for human beings? Many have been threatened with death if they choose Christ. What does this passage have to say to this fear? What are you afraid of if Christ has gone before and dealt with death? Give your fears to Him today.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-24

Why are all of us to become active in the Lord’s work? What does this section suggest to you about those who are not active participants? What is true of the person who has no faith in terms of suffering (vs. 9)? Why should we not be afraid of the spiritual war here? What did Christ do for us as our example of how to live here? How are we to treat those who are working hard for the Lord? What if they are not perfect? How are you to treat those who are not yet actively serving but who are Christians? Who calls us to Christianity? Who calls us to service of the church? If He called you, then how will it actually happen that you will be busy for Him? Pray for your fellow church workers.

Philippians 4:8-20; Hebrews 13:5-6

What struggles did Paul face in this passage of Philippians? Why did Paul never go without? What does Hebrews say about our needs? If that is true, then on what are we to occupy our energies? How should we react toward those who are not noble, right, pure or praiseworthy? Are you giving the time that God asks of you to serve him, or are you caught up with too much working for the things of this earth? Choose carefully to become a fragrant offering to the Lord.
