Genesis 37, 40, 41

Why was Joseph hated by his brothers? What did they do to him? How do you suppose he felt at that time in his life when they left him to die and then they sold him as a slave to slave traders? What did God do in the end? Even though Joseph seemed abandoned on so many levels, was that true of God toward Him? What should you do if feeling abandoned by God? Prayer: Lord, like Joseph, please remember me and remove me from this pit I am in.

Sometimes we have no idea what God wants. What do you do when you are confused about what to think? Which door in life to open? What does Matthew suggest? What do you know about a child’s faith? Today, trust God simply. Prayer: Lord, Thank you that you love me and will take care of me. I don’t know what to do so I simply put my trust in you.

What basis do we have to judge others? What do we do when confronted with a sinner? What lesson from this story are you going to implement for your own life?
