Faith at Work Week 6: Midweek Miracle

Against whom do you hold a grudge? What was the slight you suffered? Do you even remember? How long have you not been on speaking terms with that person? Today, do the miraculous. Bury the hatchet, go to that person, and make amends. It doesn't matter whether they were in the wrong. God wants you to be at peace with all.

1 Peter 3:8-11 says that if you want to love life and see good days, you will not hold that grudge any longer. You must seek peace and pursue it. That does not mean waiting for the other person to come to you. Pursue peace with them. Humbly bless the one who has offended you. Forgive them and find the blessing of peace in your own heart.

Faith at Work Week 6: Monday Recap

Think about this: Since the very beginning of time, when sin entered the world, there has been anger and fighting. Consider how the very first child, Cain, in anger killed his brother, Abel. If it has always been this way, what chance do we have to be people of peace? And yet, that is what the Bible challenges us to be: People of Peace.

It starts with having peace with God. As Romans 5:1 says, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." That is where peace with others has to start. Confessing sin. Claiming Christ as Savior.

God entering your life through repentance and salvation allows the Holy Spirit to take up residence in your soul and begin to change you from being an angry person to one who brings peace to every relationship.

Faith at Work Week 5: End of Week Refreshment

Ready to change your bad habits? Repentance of deadly poison of the lips will take a miracle. Start today to change. When you are tempted to speak poorly about someone, as an act of your will, do the opposite. Pray for something nice to say about the person who aggravates you. Then say it. Out loud. Do that for a 30 day challenge. Then watch out as God begins to give you a new perspective on how you see people. It will be revolutionary.
