What will be the sign of the return of Christ? It is important to grasp that these are not soft fluffy clouds with sunshine and gentle breezes. What does Isaiah 34 say about His coming? What is that day called according to Isaiah 34:8? Today, thank God that you will be spared this wrath.

What will the days leading up to Christ’s return look like? Compare what you are reading in Matthew to the news around the world today. What does that mean to how you need to live your life today? What does Matthew 24:8 suggest? Could we be at that stage of world history today? According to verse 14, when will the actual end come and the Great worldwide Tribulation begin? According to vs. 21-22, how will God show compassion on the world during this judgment? Today, should we try to figure out Christ’s return date? Why or why not? Rather than trying to set dates of His return, spend time asking God to help you share with others so they will be spared the wrath to come.

The work of Jesus Christ did not end when He died. Where did He go after He died and rose from the grave? He rose up to heaven for a season. What is promised to us at that time that He rose? What does that mean to you that as He left, so you will see Him return? Describe how He left and explain what that means to His return. Today give God praise for being a God willing to rescue the perishing and a just God putting right that which has become perverse.
