READ: Genesis 1:26-27, 31; Colossians 2:4; Genesis 2:16-7; Genesis 3:1-6, 24; Romans 5:12-19

Who created you? What does God think of His human creation? What is the image of God in you? How did sin enter in? What does the tree of the knowledge of good and evil do for a person? Who should be responsible for determining good from evil? How does sin affect your ability to glorify God? Have you decided that you will decide what is right and wrong, apart from God? Turn that attitude over to the Lord. It is a deadly attitude.

READ: 1 John 4:8,16; John 3:16; Matthew 28:19; John 17:21

God is love. What does that mean? Whom does He love? How does He love? Love is a personal quality, for only people can love. Does God love Himself? Thinking of the Trinity, how does God love Himself? There is but one God. But is God alone? Today, thank God for being love. How can you share this love back to Him?

This week we will look at the ultimate purpose of the Church. As the Westminster Shorter Catechism asks, “What is the chief end of man? and then answers: The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.”

This is the end of our study on how our doctrine impacts our outward ministry in the community.

How has God purposefully redeemed people for Himself? How does that glorify Him? In what do we have our being? How does that glorify God? Today, thank God for His creation, and how that impacts who you are.
