GO- Digging Deeper: January 3, 2022

God desires to change lives. Very often He does so in the context of the

church community. This week we consider our theme verse for 2022: 1

Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each

other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

Read: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; Proverbs 27:17

Why is it important to be in friendships with others? What needs to take place for another to knock off any rough edges that you might have? Is that an easy process? Why do you think it is necessary? Explain what it means that you are alone and you fall. What are the implications of having more than one friend with whom you can be accountable? Today begin to pray about who you would be willing to meet with for accountability.

Read: Hebrews 8:1-9:27

What does a Mediator do? With whom is Christ arbitrating? Where is He doing this? What is the true sanctuary not made by hands? Why didn’t He act as a priest while on earth? What does the tabernacle represent? What is the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle? What is it in the real heavenly sanctuary? What is the new Covenant about? Why did God need to institute a new one? What did Christ do to make the old obsolete? What is the difference in regards to your sins between the animal sacrifice and the sacrifice of Christ? You have been set free. Live like it.

Why is Christ a better priest than the Levite priests? What is the difference between them? As your High Priest, what is Christ doing for you today? What is He not doing for you? Why is He not making sacrifices anymore? Thank God today for His prayers on your behalf. Tell Him where you are hurting. He cares and He will take them to the Father.
