GO- Digging Deeper: November 15, 2021

Christ ascended and is the King and Judge of Heaven. That should impact your life greatly. This week we will dig deeper into this crucial part of Christ’s theology.

Read: Acts 1:1-11

What principles did Jesus give to His disciples between His resurrection and His ascension? More directly, what are you to concentrate on? (vs. 1-3); What are you to do with the community brought together by Christ? (vs. 4-5); What are you to talk about to others? (vs. 6-8);What should the absence of Jesus from the earth inspire in you? (vs. 9-11)

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:42-57; 1 John 3:2; Philippians 3:21; Matthew 28:9; John 20:19

Jesus rose from the dead, his body was different from before. Describe the changes. Compare the differences between the natural body in this life and the changed body in heaven. How will our body resemble Christ’s body in heaven? Christ seemed to be able to be at some time very natural and other times very heaven like. If we are going to be like Him, what might that mean for you in heaven? Today, thank the Lord for the freedom that you have been given from death because of the resurrection.

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

There is a divine order in this passage. What is it? What does the phrase “That God may be all in all mean? In what way does the resurrection establish God’s Kingdom and take back what God had lost to sin? Is God all in all in your life? Give up that area that you have not been willing to relinquish to Him. Make Him Lord of your life.
