Christmas Day!!! Read: Luke 2:1-15

What was the change that occurred on that hillside when the angel appeared? What was the shepherd’s first reaction to the angel’s visit? When they realized what was occurring in Bethlehem that night, how did their reaction change? What exactly did the angel say to them? The shepherds became very excited over the Lamb being born. But the angelic host became more so. What did the angels do when God gave them permission to enter through the portal door between heaven and earth? What level of excitement do you have about this Christmas story? Have you made any attempt to go and find Him today?

Matthew 2: 13-23

Joseph received a couple of other dreams in his life as the stepfather of Jesus. Why did God choose him rather than Mary to receive these visions? What were the two angelic visions about? How long did Joseph wait to obey the message given him? What part did God play in protecting the Christ child? What happened to the threat of Herod? Where did Joseph end up back in Israel? What Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled in all the moving the holy family made around the birth of Jesus? Remember, God foretold all of it. What does that tell you about His plan? When did He know about Bethlehem and Herod and the flight to Egypt? Does He have everything under control in your life? Give your life over to Him today.

Read: Matthew 2:1-12

God had prepared the Magi for centuries for this one event in history. As a group, they had mapped out the comings and goings of the stars for centuries. They knew what each star meant in the course of world history. But then, one night, there was a new star. Where did the star come from? It is possible that the star could have been an angel in the bright raiment of heaven. According to Revelation 2; 6:13; 12:1-4, what do the stars in Scripture often represent? Whether an angel or a literal star, what did that new star mean? Why would they travel the distance from Persia to visit this baby when many other royals had been born or appointed with no such visits made? Why did they not go back to talk to King Herod? What would have happened had they ignored the angelic message in their dream as just a case of bad Judaen food? What does that tell you about the warnings you receive through the study of Scripture and prayer? Listen to the warnings that God gives to you.
