(Read John 14:16) What did Jesus promise to all believers? To whom would he ask for the Spirit to come? Some people think the Holy Spirit is not a Person but some sort of power. Read the following passages to determine who or what He is. (Ephesians 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22; John 15:11; Romans 15:30; John 10:27; Acts 7:1-4). Do you believe that the Holy Spirit is an energy force or a Person? Why or why not. Today thank God for the Holy Spirit in your life.

(Read Galatians 5:16-23) How is a Christ follower supposed to act? Why? (vs. 16b)Notice the word ‘fruit’ is a singular. What do you suppose that means? The word fruit suggests growing, ripening and picking. How is your spiritual fruit right now? Is it growing? What in the list do you need to work on? Since it is the fruit of the Spirit, ask Him to help you plant and grow the fruit you sense is lacking in your life.

How does God confirm that in your life? Where is the Holy Spirit in a Christ follower? The word Abba is a term of endearment like a Father being called ‘Daddy’. Today thank God for your adoption and inheritance into His family.
