Jesus was triumphant in His entry but not by human standards. What happened to Him in Jerusalem? Spend time today reflecting on the cruel passion against Him. Reflect on your sins that He bore on the cross. Today, thank God that He died for you. Commit anew your heart to your Savior and Lord.

What was an ‘oddity’ concerning the animal Jesus rode in the triumphal entry? Why would the foal of a donkey have been a hard animal to ride (think rodeo with bucking broncos)? Did the donkey kick up his heels and send Jesus flying? Based on our passages today, why not? Today put yourself, especially your ‘wild side’ under the authority of Jesus.

There are two kinds of ways for a king to ride into a capital? What are they? Jesus came into Jerusalem before He was crucified riding which kind of animal? This signifies that He is a servant bringing peace. Are you at peace with God today? Spend time reflecting on how His death on a cross would bring you eternal peace. When He returns at the end of the age, what will He be riding? Will He be coming a second time to die on a cross again? If not, what is His purpose of returning? It is not good to be on that side of King Jesus. Today, make sure of your relationship with the Prince of Peace.
