Faith at Work Week 9: End of Week Refreshment

James 4:14 asks, "What is your life?". He then answers with, "You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." There is an interesting juxtaposition of thoughts here. Life is translated from the Greek word, "Zoe" that means vitality in your existence.

Everyone hopes for a rich, robust, full and vibrant life. But, James reminds us that our life is nothing but a vapor. Here today and then you're gone.

God is reminding us not to get too proud and full of ourselves. But with God in charge, you can do good deeds (vs.17) and have the rich benefits of God's eternal Kingdom. In the midst of life's twists and turns, you can make a real and eternal difference, impacting the world around you.
