Read: Hebrews 11:39-40
Does this passage suggest that Old Testament saints needed to pull themselves up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves back in their day? When would their faith be made complete if not back them? The reason why the old covenant saints did not receive the fullness of the promise in their time is that God wants all of His people to enjoy those promises at the same time together. When will that be? In the great resurrection, the living and the dead in Christ will be raised to glory, in body and soul, to experience all the fullness of the benefits of Christ together. Today, thank God that He already sees you in heaven, along with all others who put their faith in the Lord throughout the ages.
