Moving Forward- Digging Deeper: April 30, 2021

Read 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 This is a list of manifestational gifts. What do you believe about the validity of these gifts? Have you seen any of them used by God? When might they be used? Are any being seen in your church? Do you practice any of these gifts? Ask God to use these gifts to open the eyes to the truth and power of God to the unreached.

  • HEALING: A capability used by God to restore others, be that physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually.

  • PROPHECY: The ability to speak the message of God to others. This sometimes involves foresight or visions of what is to come. This skill should be used only to offer encouragement or warning.

  • SPEAKING IN TONGUES: The supernatural ability to speak in another language (one that has not been learned) before the Body of Christ.

  • INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES: To be able to understand a language and accurately interpret what was just said to encourage the Body.

  • WORD OF KNOWLEDGE: This is the gift of someone who actively pursues knowledge of the Bible. This person may also enjoy analyzing biblical data. It can also be used to understand undiscovered facts about a person or situation that is revealed by God

  • WISDOM: The gift of being able to sort through facts and data to discover what needs to be done for the church.

  • DISCERNING OF SPIRITS: To tell the difference between the Holy Spirit and an evil spirit at work. The wisdom to recognize truth from untruth by correctly evaluating whether a behavior or teaching is from God or another, ungodly source.

  • FAITH: People with this gift have such great confidence in the power and promises of God that they can stand strong in their belief, no matter what may try to shake them. They can also stand up for the church and for their faith in such a way as to defend and move it forward.

  • MIRACLES: The ability to perform a supernatural act to help people praise God.
