Above All Week 6: End of Week Encouragement

Philippians 3:8-10 is a description of Paul in prison because he is a Christ follower. Talk about a time to be discouraged! But, his eyes are on Jesus. And with that focus, there is no loss. He is right before God because of his faith in Jesus Christ. He does not just know about Jesus as a historical figure. He knows Him personally because Jesus rose from the grave and interacts with Paul. Likewise, we can know a living, personal Jesus Christ ,

even 2000 years later. As vs. 11 says, we can one day rise to heaven as well.

Above All Week 6: Midweek Miracle

John 20 takes us to the tomb of the recently crucified Jesus Christ. Mary Magdalene owes her faith to Jesus' forgiveness of her sin. But, there at the opening of the grave, she is questioning everything. His body is no longer there. What crisis has caused you to question your faith. Is Jesus who He says He is?

Mary turns to go, and there is Jesus, risen and alive. Her faith is restored.

Ask Jesus to become so real in your life that there is no more doubt.

A lot of people don’t think so.

They have walked away from what the Bible says about Jesus.

2 Timothy 3 actually predicts exactly the coldness toward Christ that we see so prevalent in society today. Are you willing to trust an ever-changing culture with your eternity? Consider what Jesus said about heaven: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” Today, renew your commitment to what God says in His Word about Jesus Christ.
