2 Peter 1:22-25 lets us know that there are only two things that are eternal. One is the Word of God. The other is the human soul. One of the beautiful treasures you will enjoy in heaven will be those people who have placed their faith in Christ and are in heaven as your neighbors. Today, why not store up treasures in heaven by telling someone what the Bible has to say about how much God loves them? You can start with John 3:16, move to Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9 and Romans 6:23.

A person has a choice about acquiring and spending their wealth and resources. You can hoard resources for yourself and miss out on wealth that money cannot buy in heaven or, as Matthew 6 says, you can store up riches in heaven. Today, use some of your hard-earned, earthly resources to help out someone in need. And, when you do, let them know that God loves them and desires to have a relationship with them.

We don’t think about the need to cleanse and refresh our outer bodies. Daily, we wash our face and brush our teeth. But, when was the last time you had a spiritual cleansing? Today, think seriously about spending time alone with the Lord, humbling yourself before Him, and turning away from anything that you know is not aligned with Him. Invite the  Holy Spirit to cleanse your soul.
