Read: Hebrews 11:39-40

Does this passage suggest that Old Testament saints needed to pull themselves up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves back in their day? When would their faith be made complete if not back them? The reason why the old covenant saints did not receive the fullness of the promise in their time is that God wants all of His people to enjoy those promises at the same time together. When will that be? In the great resurrection, the living and the dead in Christ will be raised to glory, in body and soul, to experience all the fullness of the benefits of Christ together. Today, thank God that He already sees you in heaven, along with all others who put their faith in the Lord throughout the ages.

Read: Hebrews 11:1-16

Hebrews 11 is a list of heroes because of their faith in God. What does verse 1 say about faith? How does our faith help us believe? What does verse 6 state about our belief in God? Does it say that God will reward those who see their faith become reality? If not, what is rewarded? What do we know about all these characters mentioned based on verse 13? Did they live to see their faith become reality? What should you be looking forward to?

Read: John 15:26-27; 16:5-15

The Holy Spirit is often called the Counselor. When does the Holy Spirit come to a person? Who sends Him? What is His job according to vs. 26? What are we supposed to do as well as His disciples? Why was it good for Jesus to go away? What are His roles in your life when He comes (Vs. 8-13)? Today pay attention when you are feeling led in your heart to serve God.
